Prep for Prep is an organization that readies underprivileged minority
children for prestigious private high schools and helps them through
the college admissions process. Critics call the organization elitist,
that it doesn't benefit the vast numbers of minority students in
need, and is highly selective favoring students that would have
made it to college anyway. Proponents argue expensive supplementary
education is how privileged whites get their academic edge.
